The stocking factory - Trepon a.s.

The history of one of the important stocking factories dates back to 1935, when Mr. Tomas Bata became to be interested in stocking production in Trebic. Since 1935, the factory produced over 1,5 billion pairs of socks.

The modern history of the factory began in 1991, when the Trepon ("tre" for Trebic, "pon" for ponozka, which means "sock" in Czech) joint venture company was founded. The production mainly consists of all types of socks (men´s, women´s, children´s), and lately also the pantie hoses.  On the local market, the company finds traditional customers in commercial chains and statal institutions. There is a strong export activity as well, to several european countries.

The quality of the production of the Trepon factory was honoured by the mark "Czech Made". The quality is guaranteed by the long experience of the stocking-knitters, by the quality control system and instant supervizion over the production.  Such a material is used which guarantees a pleasant wearing to the customer. Lately, the company studies the use of new antibacterial materials. In general, the first aim of the company is a comfort of the customer, the fact which should guarantee a fixed position of its products on the market.
